Leicester Market is excited to announce that it is welcoming tender applications from event organisers interested in hosting specialist markets or events on Sundays.
Having been open for over 700 years, Leicester Market is open six days a week and is an institution within the city, with public footfall high every day of the week.
Located in the heart of Leicester city centre, just five minutes from Highcross shopping centre, the Cultural Quarter, Leicester Cathedral, King Richard III Visitor Centre and St Martin’s Square; Leicester Market consists of 150 wooden stalls fixed to the ground, with a large roof covering the whole of the market.
Over the years, Leicester Market has hosted a vast selection of food and drink festivals, vegan markets, Asian bazaars as part of the city’s Mela festival, specialist antiques markets and much more.
Now, we are inviting market operators, individuals or organisations to host a variety of unique markets on Sundays here at Leicester Market.
These events can be as frequent as desired, including one-off or monthly markets.
Leicester Market would be especially keen to hear from interested parties keen on organising markets or events around the following themes:
- Books and vinyl
- Vegan food
- Arts and crafts markets or exhibitions
- Flea and market stalls
- Second-hand goods for mothers
- Jobs, careers and volunteering fairs or conventions
- Plant, horticulture sales or shows
- Comic or sci-fi markets, conventions or events
However, we’d also love to hear any other ideas that organisers may have to host a specialist event at Leicester Market on a Sunday – so, get in touch!
