Sherwin’s Cheese Company was established in 1977 and now run by second generation traders Alison and Adam Ireland.
They specialise in artisan British cheeses and offer a range of European cheeses. Their cheese ranges are sourced direct from dairies and as locally as possible. Sherwin’s are also one of the only places in Leicester where you can buy tripe.

Reportedly the first to bring fresh fish to Leicester by rail, the fourth generation business Trawlerman specialise in exotic fish and seafood, also stocking poultry and game.
The sheer scale and variety of what’s on offer is jaw-dropping. Always looking to source new and different ranges, in the words of the current family owner Leo: “We stock everything from a quail’s egg to a whale’s tail. If it flies or swims, we sell it.”
