As of January 2017, becoming a trader at Leicester and Beaumont Leys Market has become even easier!
Stalls cost JUST £10 per-day Monday through to Saturday at Leicester Market and ONLY £6 per-day Wednesday to Saturday at Beaumont Leys Market for a period of EIGHT WEEKS on the new-look Trader Scheme, which is now open.
You can start trading at any time up until the close of the scheme, which comes at the end of October*, and trade as much or as little as you like within that period.
All you have to do is turn up at the Market Customer Care Centre at 2-4 Market Place South in Leicester City Centre with the required paper work** between 8:00am and 8:30am on the morning you wish to trade.
To trade at Beaumont Leys Market you will need to report to the Beaumont Leys Market Office between 8:00am and 9:00am.
From there you will fill out a quick form and will be allocated a stall on the market for the day!
There is no need to pre-book or inform us that you are coming.
Market trading is an excellent and cost-effective way to start a new business with minimal overheads in a central location within the city just a few minutes’ walk from the Highcross shopping centre, St Martin’s Square and Richard III Visitor Centre.
Our Beaumont Leys Market also offers great accessibility within the Beaumont Leys Shopping Centre with free parking amongst several big name stores.
Once you establish yourself on the market, there are further opportunities, including tendering for a permanent stall or a lockable unit.
The straightforward no-fuss setting of a market is the ideal place to try out your commodity and hone your customer service and display skills.
Famous brands such as Superdry, Innocent (juice and smoothies), Marks & Spencer and Morrison’s all once were market traders, as well as Dunelm, which actually started at Leicester Market.
Our staff is dedicated to helping you succeed and we have market inspectors who can offer tips and advice about trading on the Market, as well as a dedicated member of the team who can offer further business support.
