Traders to Commence Charity Cycle

September 7, 2017

This weekend, a group of traders from one of Leicester Markets’ most well-known fruit and veg stalls will be completing a gruelling 100-mile cycle ride from Leicester to Skegness to raise funds for a young boy with Cerebral Palsy who requires specialist surgery.

Bleu Greenwood has Cerebral Palsy in all four limbs, with dystonia dystrophy diagnosed. As a result, Bleu requires specialist surgery not available on the NHS, with £20,000 required to provide the surgery that could have a huge beneficial impact on his life, in addition to specialist equipment to aid Bleu’s mobility.

Kelvin Clark has put together the idea of a 100-mile charity cycle ride, working with Leicester Market fruit and veg trader, Vicki Chapple, to put together a team of traders to undergo the challenge.

The group of cyclists will be heading off from Leicester Market at 6.00am on Sunday 10 September.
