Tender Process Open for Vintage Mod Market

Leicester Market has opened the tender process for organisations interested in planning a Vintage Mod Market, set to take place on Sunday 16 June 2019 as part of the city-wide Revive festival.

Leicester Market is to play host to a vintage market on 16 June, between 10.00am and 5.00pm, with the aim to create a Mod theme. We’re welcoming applications from event organisers who wish to oversee the market and bring traders that can offer:

  • Clothing
  • Books
  • Scooter parts
  • Records
  • Art

NO FOOD OR ALCOHOL traders will be able to trade at the Vintage Mod Market.

Any organisation wishing to tender must submit their application by 5.00pm on Friday 7 April 2019.

For any questions relating to the Vintage Mod Market, please email sonya.spink@leicester.gov.uk

Revive ties in with ‘Mods: Shaping a Generation’, which includes a three-month major exhibition at Leicester’s New Walk Museum. The festival tells the story of the Mod subculture, through the eyes of former Leicester and Nottingham Mods – and captures the stories of a popular 60s youth movement, which is at risk of never being told.

Over the course of the weekend (14-16 June 2019), Leicester will play host to events including music, exhibitions, films and more at cultural venues across the city, culminating in an exciting street scooter exhibition, also on 16 June.
