Shoppers had the chance to sample food and drink from across our region through over 200 food and drink stalls, all jam-packed into Leicester’s historic market. This mouthwatering mix of culinary delights was in its second year and proved to be the most taste bud tangling success of the lot.

From spicy curries from the city’s best Indian restaurants to local cheese and meat farm produce from the counties, there really was something for everyone.

For the over-18′s there was also the chance to quench your thirst in the “Market Beer Zone” featuring Everards Brewery, Langton Brewery, Thirsty Farmer Cider and others.

The festival was very much a family occasion, as well as the individual stalls there was an array of entertainment and cookery demonstrations that took place in The Corn Exchange Square:
