Maker’s Market Makes Square Debut
A brand-new market made its debut in Leicester last weekend (6 August), as Leicester Market’s new Market Square hosted the first-ever Maker’s Market.
The Maker’s Market showcases the finest Leicestershire-based food, drink, art and craft producers in the heart of Leicester city centre. Following last week’s inaugural event, the Maker’s Market will now run every first Sunday of each month from 11am-4pm in Leicester’s newest public space.
Created by FU Media in association with Leicester Market, the Makers’ Market presents the talents of some of our county’s most exciting makers and creatives who make, bake, create and source the products they sell right here in Leicestershire, which ensures their goods are uniquely ‘brand Leicester’.
If you’d like to trade at the next Maker’s Market, to be held on Sunday 3 September, please contact Carey York at FU Media via firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange.
Adam Piotrowski, Development Officer at Leicester Market, commented: “The first Maker’s Market was a huge success. There were a number of high-quality traders on hand to provide unique products, which in turn generated some very positive feedback; both from other traders and shoppers.
“We believe that this event provides a great foundation on which to build both the Maker’s Market and other monthly specialist markets.”
