Tuesday 28 February Pancake Day 11.00am – 1.00pm – Pancake Charity Giveaway

1.15pm – 1.45pm – Pancake Race

Head down to Corn Exchange Square to see local organisations and businesses take on reigning Pacake Race champions, the Food Hall traders. Teams represening LOROS, The Corn Exchange, Cambridge & Counties Bank, ITV Central, the Market’s outdoor traders, Mojo Promotions and the Food Hall traders will be participating. There will also be a pancake charity giveaway, with a suggested donation of £1.00.

Watch St George rescue a damsel in distress from a dastardly dragon, in a production brought to shoppers by the University of Leicester’s Theatre Society – updated with a few cheeky twists.

 
Saturday 20 May (TBC) Youth Market w/ Community Giants After a pilot event at Leicester’s Winter Food & Drink Festival in November 2016, the Community Giants will be back to offer a wide range of products to the public. Busineses are run in partnership with young participants, to help give them a first step onto starting their own businesses.  
Sunday 11 June Vegan Market 11.00am – 3.00pm on the Outdoor Market

After two successful events in 2016, the Leicester vegan community is back with their third Vegan Market, showcasing everything vegan including food, clothes, cosmetics, toiletries, art, gifts, information, charities, entertainment, activities and much more. A short service with members of the Royal British Legion, Leicester Cathedral and the Lord Mayor, to remember those that have fallen in conflicts.
